The Black Starlets of Ghana would face the young Menas of Niger in the semi final stage of the African youth Championship in Gabon after finishing as Group A leaders.
The young Menas’ 1-0 victory over Tanzania was enough to secure them a spot in the Semi final stage of the competition as they finished as runners up in Group B.
The starlets progressed to the semis in a fine fashion, scoring nine goals without conceding, however, their counterpart qualified in a dramatic manner, scoring four and conceding four goals in their Group B encounters.
Earlier in their preparations towards the 2017 African Youth Championship, the starlets recorded 2-0 consecutive victories over the Nigeriens at the Accra Sport Stadium.
