President John Dramani Mahama on Friday gave the assurance that he would respect the outcome of last Wednesday’s elections, “whether positive or negative”.
He was addressing supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who had called on him at his residence in Accra.
“We are a party that respects the rule of law”, President Mahama emphasised.
He said as the party in government, members and supporters of the NDC would have a lot to lose if the country was thrown into a state of instability.
He urged them to remain calm and await the final declaration of results by the Electoral Commission. GNA
