The True Faith Church Ghana on Wednesday donated food items, detergents and second-hand clothing valued at GHC5,000.00 to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital.
The items, made up of 15 bags of rice, five gallons of cooking oil, 30 bags of sachet water, a quantity of tubers of yam and bails of second-hand clothes.
Apostle Safo Elijah Obeng, Greater Accra Head Minister of the church, who made the donation on behalf of the church, said the gesture formed part of the church’s social responsibilities.
He said the church was dedicated to helping the needy and also put smiles on the faces to restore hope in them.
‘We are grateful to God for giving us this day to show support to our brothers and sisters. We hope that this token will go a long way to cater for your needs’, Apostle Obeng added.
Mr Kofi Bimpong, Greater Accra General Secretary of the church, said the church would continue to support the inmates of the hospital, as well as that of other institutions at all times.
Miss Beatrice Nyarko, Principal Nursing Officer of the Hospital, who received the donation on behalf of the Hospital, thanked the church for the donation. GNA
