The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aduana Stars, Mr. Albert Commey has said, he remains confident his side will take the Ghana Premier League (GPL) by storm and win the 2015/2016 title.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has set February 20, for the commencement of the 2016 league to kick start and Commey feels confident their target will be achieved.
Aduana stars who occupied the third position in the 2014/2015 season will play away to Inter Allies in their first league match at the Tema Park on Sunday.
He told the GNA Sports that, the club will inculcate team work, respect and discipline in the team and will push hard to win the league.
‘‘We will take the league by storm and we will do this by team work, respect and discipline. Our target is to win the league and we are investing in our players to achieve that target.”
Commey revealed that, Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu II has hinted that he will increase the winning and draw bonuses in both home and away matches to motivate the players.
The CEO added that ‘‘we are ready for all the matches and we respect our opponents but they should not underrate us. I feel confident we can win the league’’.
The club has unveiled 13 new players including goalie Joseph Addo and striker Yaya Mohammed and 11 others to boost the squad ahead of the season. GNA
