Conference on effective teaching of maths to be held

A day’s conference to brainstorm on ways to promote effective teaching of mathematics in schools is to be held at the Koforidua Polytechnic.

Dubbed “Edcamp” it would bring together teachers and other education experts from across the nation.

A press statement issued by the organizers, NOVAN Education and Training, an NGO, said the highlights would include practical teaching and the use of technology to simplify and make the subject become more attractive to students.

The training needs of the teacher would also receive special attention to help them to efficiently deliver in the classroom.

The conference takes off on next week’s Tuesday. GNA
