Sarkin Muslumi Chiefs outdoored in Ashaiman

Chief Alhaji Issifu Braimah Sabo has been outdoored as the Sarkin Muslumi chief of Tema Traditional Area with Alhaji H.M.M. Sannie as his deputy.

The two were installed by Dr. Alhaji Osognaa Nii Adjei Kraku II, the President of the Tema Traditional Council.

They also installed the Jakadia (Queen-mother) and her two deputies and Sarkin Samari (Youth Chief) and his deputy.

In a speech Chief Alhaji Sabo said the gesture was the first of its kind and expressed gratitude to the Tema Traditional Council.

Nii Kraku tasked the leaders to work together to bring unity among the Muslim community in the traditional area and also ensure that Muslim cases that were referred to the Council were returned to their fold for settlement.

“The days of infighting, bickering, backbiting and name-calling among should be put behind as we look into the future with high hopes, so that together we can build a formidable Zongo,” he said.

Nii Kraku said the leaders should assure all their people that the future of Zongo was not bleak, and that, they have good plans in place to make the Muslim community in Tema a model in this country and beyond.

“We look into the future with renewed energy expecting to achieve greater heights than what was achieved previously by our great grandfathers.”

Nii Adjor Annang, the Regent of Ashaiman urged the Muslumi leaders and youth to foster unity of purpose to help develop the area, saying that, “together we stand but divided we fall.” GNA
