Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has advised National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters to remain calm and not do anything to mar the voting to elect parliamentary and presidential candidates for the 2016 general elections.
He said despite the challenges in some constituencies across the country, supporters have to exercise patience while officials of the party find solutions to the problems.
Vice President Amissah-Arthur gave the advice after casting his vote at the Snaps College Polling Station at Asylum Down in the Klottey Korley Constituency.
Speaking to the media after touring the polling centres expressed delight at the large voter turnout which he said was good for the party.
He stated that the current enlargement of the of party’s register is a major undertaken by the party, which no other party in the country has been able to do.
He said due to the large voter population there were bound to be problems and as such urged the supporters to exercise patience while officials of the party solve the problems. GNA
