Name, picture and other details of NPP communications director of Bolga Central constituency in the Upper East region has appeared on the NDC voter’s register.
Elvis-Figo Atiah name was found on the register being used at Methodist JHS polling station.
This has raised eyebrows among some party members in the constituency wondering how a member of the NDC’s rival party was implanted in their register.
There were complaints of a bloated party register in late October with some supporters accusing elements in the party of inserting names of NPP members in the last registration exercise conducted by the party.
Ironically, hundreds of party members are unable to vote in the nationwide primaries to elect presidential and parliamentary candidates because their names are missing from the register.
Joy News Upper East regional correspondent Albert Sore reports that Elvis-Figo Atiah he was informed about the situation and wrote to the party to delete his name.
His call was not heeded and he has threatened to take legal action against the party if his name is not deleted as soon as possible.
Meanwhile the National Democratic Congress’ leadership in the region is yet to respond to the development.
