A Klottey Korle National Democratic Congress (NDC) branch organiser Lawrencia Bossman has been assaulted by the Deputy Organiser of the constituency Inusah Mumuni.
The incident which has been reported at the Adabraka Police Station occurred on Thursday evening when the constituency executives held a meeting to make decisions on announcing the exhibition of the NDC biometric voter register.
One Emmamuel Tetteh is said to have suggested that they use a Zanetor (one of the candidates) -branded pick-up (which he drives) for the public broadcast but Belinda Yankah (Women’s Organiser) opposed it.
According to constituency insiders, Tetteh and Aziz Afutu ‘confronted’ Yankah aggressively.
Bossman, who doubles as Personal Assistant to Yankah tried to rescue her boss but was met with blows from Mumuni.
She sustained injuries and has since been receiving treatment at the Ridge Hospital.
