Superstar Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie, known in private life as Michael Owusu Addo, has found himself in hot waters with the Ghana police over a stolen car case.
A source told VibeGhana.com that the police met with the former BET award winner for questioning at the CID Headquarters in Accra after he attempted to register a car which had already been reported stolen.
Sarkodie, after several hours of interrogation by the cops on Wednesday was released and instructed to assist investigators working to get to the bottom of the case.
It has emerged that the rapper bought an Infiniti cross country vehicle a couple of years ago, but did not register it at that time due to his busy schedule.
However, earlier this week, he decided to finally put the car on the road so he went to the vehicle registration office in Accra to register it.
While the history of the vehicle was being checked on the computer it was detected by the registration office that the vehicle had a pending status as reported stolen.
Sarkodie’s camp have denied any wrong doing but stated on Friday that the hip hop, hiplife and azonto legend will fully cooperate with the police.
