A leading member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Arthur Kobina Kennedy has affirmed that his party is not ready to rule Ghana.
According to him, even though the current leadership of the country has failed, the opposition party has not proven it can hold the mantle and manage the country effectively.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Thursday, the former Communications Director of NPP in the 2008 campaign said the country is demoralized but there seems to be no hope in the NPP because there is ‘massive corruption’ in the opposition party.
“The corruption in NPP in recent times is so alarming and so how can you keep a whole country on its toes if you are given the mantle. It is very sad” he stressed.
The failed presidential aspirant of the party said NPP must be seen to provide hope for the people of Ghana if they really want to win power in 2016.
“I charge the NPP to respect their own laws and give confidence to Ghanaians so that we can begin to rely on them” he said.
He added that “Ghanaians really need to pray because the state of the country is very bad, it is very sad because we are not where our founders want us to be” the man who also failed in his parliamentray bid stated.
