The Blues have moved to address their need for a left-back by snapping up the 21-year-old Ghana international
Chelsea have completed the signing of Augsburg defender Baba Rahman, according to the German club’s sporting director Stefan Reuter.
The Premier League champions have begun the defence of their crown in unconvincing fashion, taking just a single point from their opening two games and Jose Mourinho has moved to sure up a defence that has already leaked five goals.
Chelsea currently have Cesar Azpilicueta as their only option at left-back having sold Felipe Luis to Atletico Madrid earlier this summer after just a single season at Stamford Bridge.
Kurt Zouma was forced to stand-in when the Spanish defender went off injured in the Community Shield defeat to Arsenal earlier this month, while Rahman will also compete for a full-back spot with Branislav Ivanovic who has looked out of sorts so far this season.
