Military Commander commends women

Lieutenant Colonel William Kwabiah, Commanding Officer of the Six Infantry Battalion of the Ghana Armed Forces, has commended women for their meaningful contributions towards the development of the home and the country at large.

Lt Col Kwabiah made the commendation at a food bazaar organized in Tamale by the Six Infantry Battalion of the Ghana Armed Forces to recognize the tireless efforts of the women at the Infantry Unit and their contribution towards the general welfare of the unit.

He urged the soldiers to work to eliminate barriers that impeded the development of women and the girl-child especially in the areas of access to quality education, health and skills development.

Mr Abdul- Rahaman Hanan Gundado, Tamale Metropolitan Chief Executive commended the military for their hard work, commitment and the good roles they played towards the development of the Northern Region.

Dr Mrs Evelyn Kwabiah, First Lady of the Six Infantry Battalion, encouraged the women to portray their unique God-given talents always to help make society a better place. GNA
