Hearts faces another tough test

Accra Hearts of OakRelegation threatened Hearts of Oak faces another tough test from 12th placed Bechem United as both clubs are seeking a win to keep their dream of Premiership stay alive.

As the First Capital Plus Premier league nears its completion with four matches to go, Hearts will welcome Bechem United in a game of equals at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The Phobians sitting 15th on the log despite their mid-week victory over Liberty Professionals courtesy Foovi Aguidi, are left with no option than to win their remaining matches, to avoid the drop.

Having accrued 32 points out of a possible 72, the rainbow colours will march on with inspiration drawn from their previous encounter to amass full points. However, it will be a herculean task against Bechem who has accumulated 34 points and two points adrift the former and requiring victory themselves.

The Phobians would have to be consistent in their last four league games in order to lift themselves from the drop zone.

A win for both sides will increase their points haul and alter their standings on the 16 club log. Bechem drew goalless with league leaders Ashantigold at home in mid-week and must be first to admit leaving Accra empty handed will not be helpful.

At the Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa, the battle for clinching the title continues as second placed Aduana Stars face resurgent Olympics. Aduana having accumulated 44 points with a point adrift AshGold, the Dormaa boys will understandably capitalise on their home advantage to bag all three points with Olympics needing to pose a threat with relegation staring at.

In other intriguing fixtures, Inter Allies will lock horns with Asante Kotoko at the Tema Park whilst All Stars take on Liberty Professionals at the Wa Park.

Elsewhere, AshGold will seek to extend the gap at the top when they lock horns with Medeama at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium whilst WAFA slug it out with Berekum Chelsea at the Sogakope Park.

Hassacas will battle Heart of Lions at the Sekondi Park whereas bottom placed B.A United lock horns with 13th positioned Edubiase at the at the Sunyani Stadium. GNA
