Telecommunication giants; MTN has organised a training programme for journalists in Accra to ensure proficiency in news delivery.
The day’s programme on the theme: ‘MTN Media Development Forum,” focused on training journalists on the effective use of the social media platforms.
It was the second capacity-building forum organised by MTN as part of its Media Development Forum series.
Mr Kwasi Gyan Apenteng, a veteran journalist and a member of National Media Commission, who exposed the journalists to investigative journalism, asked them to strive to get concrete facts and talk to relevant institutions and people that matter before they come out with their stories.
Mr Maximus Ametorgoh, Chief Executive Officer of PopOut Ghana, called on the participants to use the social media platforms to promote businesses and facilitate news gathering.
Participants at the forum included online media editors, representatives of the Network of Communications Reporters, Sports Writers Association of Ghana, and Journalists for Business Advocacy. GNA
