Accra Hearts of Oak recorded a lone goal victory over Wa All Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday in the 13th week First Capital Plus Premier League fixture (FCPL).
Though Hearts dominated the game and created several scoring chances, they were able to make use of just one in the 43rd minute of the game.
This was through Richard Yamoah, when he capitalised on a defensive miss up after Isaac Oduro’s corner kick to place the ball past keeper Baba Musa of All Stars.
Hearts could have increased the tally in the second half but lead striker Gilbert Fiamenyo and Paul Acquah remained clueless any time they came closer to the goal post.
All Stars also made occasional attempts at drawing level with the closest opportunity falling on the path of Michael Mensah in the 79th minute after he broke through the Hearts defence but goalkeeper Soulaman Abdoulaye was on hand to save the situation. GNA
