Africa Internet Group (AIG), an internet group in Africa, says it will continue to undertake online marketing and business intelligence services that will help build new and promising online ventures for customers all over the world.
Mr Baffour Appiah-Korang, the Managing Director, Easy Taxi, a subsidiary of AIG who made this known during a press breakfast meeting in Accra on Monday, said AIG would be working with motivated talents in business development, technology, online marketing and business intelligence to help build Africa’s newest, promising online ventures.
He said AIG was founded in 2012 with five other agencies – Lamudi Ghana, Jumia Ghana, Kaymu Ghana, Hellofood and Carmudi – and operating in 23 countries.
“So far, AIG has created 71 companies in different verticals: online retail, online marketplace, food ordering, car classifieds, real estate classifieds, taxi hailing, online travel booking and P2P lending,” he said.
On Easy Taxi, the Managing Director stated that it was the world’s fastest free taxi application and the first taxi booking opportunity to arrive in the Ghanaian market.
“The application allows you to easily, with the tap of a button, book a taxi and track it in real time,” he said.
Mr Sam Chappatee, Managing Director Jumia Ghana, said JG was an online shop destination where people could shop for electronics, fashion home appliances and children’s items at their convenience.
He said JG was available in 12 African markets and added “We are targeting 600 million customers.”
