MTN Ghana has received the prestigious Investors in People (IiP) Accreditation, the first company in Ghana to receive this accreditation.
Awarded by United Kingdom-based IiP, the accreditation formally recognises MTN Ghana as an organisation that invests in people and meets the quality standard set out by IiP accreditation framework.
The accreditation is also in line with the practices of high performing global companies.
This follows MTN’s passing a rigorous assessment process that has been developed over 20 years and is respected internationally. IiP sets a standard for good people management practices and is internationally recognised.
The coveted accreditation is a confirmation that a company engages in the best global people practices.
IiP is one of the world’s leading people management standards, and is a business improvement tool designed to help organisations to develop performance through their people.
Over the last 20 years, IiP had helped more than 20,000 businesses around the world to improve, using their accreditation framework to boost working culture, increase employee engagement and encourage game-changing leadership.
Amma Benneh-Amponsah, Human Resource Executive of MTN Ghana, said: “This IiP accreditation validates MTN’s continued focus on embedding excellence in our people management practices that ultimately translates into the customer experiences at all MTN touch points.
“To have received this accreditation after the very first assessment is extremely gratifying, as we have continuously worked hard to build an empowered team. This award gives us even greater motivation to do more to bring out the best in all MTN Ghana employees.”
Serame Taukobong, MTN Chief Executive Officer, said: “MTN Ghana is obviously delighted to be in the prestigious company of other strong global brands that have won this accreditation.
“The credit for this goes to the dedicated staff we have in this company. We consider this coming after winning several awards in 2014, a great inspiration for us to serve our customers even better. GNA
