Mr Moran Birger, British Airways Commercial Manager for Ghana says the airline will focus on building on its performance in 2014 and has began by offering special discounts on its flights to celebrate the New Year.
The airline, in a statement to the GNA, has announced fares starting from $1,000 from Accra to London, and $1,491 to New York in economy class, both including taxes and other charges, via the award-winning London Heathrow Terminal 5 airport as well as special discounts to other worldwide destinations, a move it says is just a taste of things to come in 2015.
The special fares are on sale from now till 6th February, 2015 for travel up until 30 March 2015.
Mr. Birger noted: “Our passengers choose us because we offer good value. We thought, ‘what better way would there be to start the year than to demonstrate this,’ especially coming so closely after a holiday of even greater giving.”
British Airways is the only airline offering a First class service to Ghana and with benefits such as the comfort of a personal on-board suite, traditional afternoon tea, formal dining on white linen with fine bone china, mood lighting in the cabin, and access to the exquisite Concorde Room airport lounge, the service is popular among passengers.
“Even though Ghana has experienced some difficulties in the past couple of years as a nation, the prospects are still very high, particularly in the area of small and medium business. One of the things we are looking forward to doing this year is to strengthen our relationships in these sectors” he stated.
British Airways is a full service global airline with a worldwide route network that covers more than 150 destinations in 75 countries, carrying approximately 36 million passengers around the world every year. GNA
