An Accra Human Rights Court has granted popular broadcaster, Kwesi Kyei Darkwa (KKD) bail.
He was granted bail on health grounds.
Justice Kofi Essel Mensah, who sat on the case, granted the renowned media personality bail to the sum Ghc20, 000 with two sureties.
Kwesi Kyei Darkwa, who has been charged with rape, has denied it, arguing he had “consensual sex” with the alleged victim.
He and his lawyers further resorted to the Human rights court to seek for bail after a Magistrate court denied him same.
Meanwhile, the 19-year-old girl who accused KKD of rape has withdrawn the charges.
