A few hours after his release from police custody, Cruiserweight champion Bukom Banku has said he has no regrets for his actions.
The boxer was arrested last Tuesday for assaulting a middle-aged woman, and hints from the country’s boxing governing body, Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), suggest that the famous boxer would be invited for sanctions.
But Banku revealed that he does not care about any sanctions that would be meted out to him.
“No, I don’t regret. I don’t care about any sanction or ban. I am talented, if they ban me I can be an emcee, I can act and do other things.
“Even if they ban me, I will serve the ban and finish. Kwaw Kesse was punished but he came out,” he said on Asempa FM.
Banku has been accused of physically assaulting people in his neighbourhood, and is currently being processed for court.
