Hiplife musician Kwaw Kese aka ‘mad mad’ was on Monday denied bail for the second time since his arrest for allegedly smoking weed in public.
VibeGhana.com source in Kumasi who was present at the proceeding said Kese’s legal team had hoped to get him out of lock-up but Judge William Buampong ruled to give the prosecutors more time to provide forensic test results to the court and for the accused to reappear on December 22nd.
Minutes after the hearing, Kwaw Kese was whisked away in a police van and is currently back at the Kumasi Central Prison. Some fans and well wishers could be heard yelling “free Kwaw Kese” as he was driven away.
Kwaw Kese who has been behind bars since November 23 2014, faces up to ten years in prison if found guilty.
