North Carolina,- An Ex-state Police trooper is facing felony charges after the dashcam on his vehicle caught him shooting an unarmed man during a stop to check his seat belt.
The trooper Sean Groubert, 31, who was fired last week was heard on the video instructing the man to provide his license and as the man turned to get his license from his car the police officer started firing shots at him.
One of the shots is said to have hit the victim (35-year-old Levar Jones) on the hip.
The incident took place in the US State of South Carolina on Sept 4th of this year.
Prosecutors in the state have charged the trooper with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
