The Ghana Football Association on Friday officially discharged now former head coach Kwesi Appiah from his position as the top trainer of the senior national team, The Black Stars.
In a statement copied to VibeGhana.com the GFA said they and Mr. Kwesi Appiah have agreed to mutually part ways and that the two parties will meet next week to discuss his severance package.
The administrators at the GFA thanked Mr Appiah for his service to both Ghana and the national team, Black Stars.
Mr. Kwesi Appiah was initially dismissed from post as Ghana coach on Thursday after he allegedly said during a radio interview that he did not put in a request for the GFA to get him a technical assistant.
However, it is not clear whether his comments contributed to his sacking after a two years stint with the Black Stars as head coach.
The former Kotoko and Black Stars player had been the manager for Ghana’s senior football squad since April 2012 until his official sacking Today, Friday.
