The former Gunners’ graduate could not strike a deal with the Austrian side and is still having a torrid time in a bid to get back to the turf after being released by Barnsley
Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has failed to woo the technical handlers of Austrian Bundesliga side Graz after a three-week trial.
The Arsenal youth product was once regarded as one of the future stars for the Gunners but suffered two successive knee injuries which stalled his progress and Strum Graz manager Darko Milanič has added another blow to the Ghanaian after deciding against his signing, according to the Metropolitan News.
The 22-year-old sealed a permanent deal with Championship side Barnsley after unsuccessful loan spells with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Charlton Athletic and Fulham but the Yorkshire side released him after suffering relegation last season.
He was sent off within 31 minutes of his debut against Sheffield Wednesday and played just a meager eight more games for the Tykes. Frimpong has played once for Ghana on the international stage.
