Dark and Lovely Ambassador, actress Ama K. Abebrese said the black skin is extremely beautiful but the smallest imperfection can compromise the skin’s original beauty. She made this disclosure at a launch of a new product, Crème 6 oils body lotion here in Accra.
Crème 6 oils body lotion is the latest brand of the Dark and Lovely product to be introduced in Ghana by L’Oreal West Africa Limited, a multi-national organization and also the largest cosmetics producing company in the world.
Ama who’s also a TV host said she was hopeful that with the introduction of the new product, both African men and women can now heave a sigh of relief since they don’t have to worry anymore mixing up either coconut oil or shea butter to get the needed skin result.
“I often add coconut oil and shea butter to my body lotion to ensure my skin stays hydrated and moisturized throughout the day, fortunately, this is now a thing of the past as I’m looking forward to trying Crème 6 oils and seeing the results on my skin” she added.
Speaking at the event, Executive General Manager of L’Oreal West Africa, Jean-Dominique De Ravignan disclosed that the Dark and Lovely Crème 6 Oils body lotion is the first multi-active formula made up of a combination of six natural oils aimed at combating the six most common imperfections affecting the African skin.
He noted, the African skin is more prone to certain conditions of which the most common is dullness, dryness, roughness, unevenness, tightness and an “ashy” look which many African women usually find difficult to control therefore they always result to adding extra oils to traditional body lotions to retain moisture and rejuvenate their skin.
According to him, it was in the bid to arrest this situation of women that led to the introduction of the 6 natural oil that deals with the 6 skin issues and combined them into the winning formula of Crème 6 Oils which allows users to get back their natural skin.
