Airtel Ghana is investing GH₵ 200 million in network services expansion drive, with the chunk of the amount going into the company’s data footprints, aimed at guaranteeing quality customer service.
Mr Manu Rajan, Marketing Director of Airtel Ghana told journalists on Wednesday at the launch of ‘the biggest data campaign in Ghana dubbed: “Browse chaw.”’
He said the investment is part of the company’s plans to offer exceptional data experience to customers, and will channel GH₵150 million into expanding Airtel’s footprint across the country.
This, he said, is expected to further position Airtel as the network with the best data offering focusing on providing quality services to customers.
He said “Browse Chaw” is an innovation designed to meet the mobile customers’ needs of reliability, speed and affordability, to cope with changes in global technological trends.
He added that Airtel internet affords customers the easiness to browse, stream and download at amazing speed, at any time and location at cheap charges.
Mr Rajan said with the browse chaw campaign, Airtel is offering a health bouquet of data products that have been designed for its valued customers.
According to him, Airtel had spearheaded the introduction of customer-centred data services, triggering a revolution about how people use data in Ghana.
He said: “we just introduced our Airtel care application, a simple, user-friendly application which allows our customers to manage their main and data accounts, top-up easily, manage their value-added services’ subscriptions and also contact customer care.
“This app which is a first from Airtel, has changed the meaning of customer care in Ghana.”
