Ghana Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan made an unsuccessful attempt to save the life of his close friend Theophilus Tagoe also known as Castro.
Gyan’s camp has pushed back against claims making the rounds that he and his friends watched and made no effort to rescue a drowning Castro and his female friend Janet Bandu in the waters near Aqua Safari, a beach resort in Ada.
A friend of the Ghana skipper told a VibeGhana.com source that they tried to save the drowning duo.
“All of us, including Asamoah Gyan dived in to try and save Janet Bandu and castro. we all tried to help but we couldn’t. we were very far away from them”.
Castro and a female friend named Janet Bandu split from Gyan and his friends to go jet skiing during a weekend getaway in Ada.
Janet is said to have fallen from the back of the jet ski Castro was riding and the musician jumped into the water in a rescue attempt but met his untimely death.
“The whole thing happened many miles away from us but we still went to try to help”
Meanwhile, an unidentified body has been found in the area around where Castro and Janet Bandu Drowned.
