Businessman urges support for Black Stars

An Accra based businessman, Nii Addy has called on Ghanaians to give massive support to the Black Stars, to enable them to perform well in the 2014 FIFA World Cup which starts in less than two weeks time in Brazil.

He said the task ahead was enormous and that it needed the collective efforts of Ghanaians, irrespective of their religious affiliation, creed or political backgrounds.

Nii Addy, who is the General Manager of Redd Lobster and Asanka Local Restaurants, made the call in an interview with Ghana News Agency in Accra on Thursday.

He said Ghana had participated in the World Cup twice and performed well and hoped that the team would go further than the previous quarter-final stage it reached.

The General Manager urged Coach Kwesi Appiah to concentrate on fielding more of the experienced players and tasked the Coach to concentrate on the defence, which he said, laws the weakest department.

He urged the players to cooperate with the technical team to ensure total victory.

Nii Addy was hopeful that the players would tackle all the matches with seriousness and commitment to raise high the flag of Ghana. GNA
