Radio Maxx, a Sekondi-Takoradi-based radio station on Monday put smiles on the faces of some needy persons within the Metropolis, by treating them to a variety of dishes and assorted drinks, to enable them have a feel of what the whole celebration was about.
The event dubbed:: “The Orange Kitchen,” is an annual social Corporate Responsibility of Radio Maxx, to share the joy of Christ’s Resurrection with the underprivileged
Mr. Enoch Asare, Head of Events and Promotion at the station, said more than 300 people have also been registered under the National Health Insurance Scheme.
He said Management of the station was considering adopting a hospital ward, as well as offering scholarships to the under-privileged youth to enable them to realize their educational goals.
In a related development, a tour through the town, beaches and churches showed that numerous entertainment programmes were lined-up to mark Easter Monday.
Most church members had gathered at vantage points in the town to have fun. GNA
