The 1984 Year Group of the Mfantsipim Old Boys Association (MOBA) has presented a cheque for 100,000 Ghana Cedis to the school, as part of a pledge towards its Infirmary Expansion Project.
The 1978 Year Group of MOBA also presented 20 pieces of Flat Screen desktop computers for the School’s Information and Communications Technology Centre.
A statement signed by Magnus Rex Danquah, Board Member of the school, and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Tuesday said, another related event was the inauguration of various committees, including the Sponsoring Year Groups’ Speech Day Committee; Publicity / Media and Events Brochure Production
Others were the Joint Committee for School Planning Committee; and National Fund-Raising Dance, Speech Day Cocktail and Saturday Dinner Committees for the 138th Speech Day, scheduled for Saturday, November 8, on the theme: “Developing a Knowledge-Based Economy for Ghana: Role of Senior High Schools”.
The statement recalled that a delegation of MOBA paid a courtesy call on the Oguaa Omanhen and President of the Oguaa Traditional Council, Osabarima Kwasi Atta the Second, and the family of John Mensah Sarbah.
The delegation which was led by Mr. E. Ernest Kwesie, included Nana Kobina Nketsia the Fifth , Omanhen of the Essikado Traditional Area; Mr. J. K. A. Simpson, Headmaster of Mfantsipim School, Mr. Jojo Ronald Duncan, Chairman of the PTA; Mr. Ekow Budu-Manuel, MOBA 1983; and Mr. Danquah. GNA
