Montenegro FA has confirmed that they have lined up an international friendly against Ghana in March, as the Black Stars seek to boost their preparation for the World Cup.
GHANAsoccernet.com revealed exclusively last Saturday that the Black Stars would play the Europeans in March.
The Montenegro FA has now released a statement on its official website confirming that the match will take place at the City Stadium in Podgorica on March 5.
According to the Montenegro FA, the agreement to play the match in the European country was reached last Friday evening as the Black Stars seek to prepare against European opposition before the Brazil World Cup.
It will be the last friendly match for Ghana coach Kwasi Appiah before he names his final squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
It will also be the Black Stars’ first game of the year and the final chance for players to impress the coach before he names his team for the World Cup competition in June.
Ghana will face European countries such as Germany and Portugal in Group G at the World Cup, alongside USA.
