Mr. Henry Ekow Manly-Spain, an aspiring Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has established a call centre to interact more with his teeming supporters.
He explained that, his reasons for establishing the centre was because of the over-whelming calls of endorsement that he receives each day from members of the party.
Mr Manly-Spain who spoke to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview in Accra on Thursday, explained that the call centre would enable him get back to party faithfuls and the Media whose calls he misses during the day on his personal phone, adding that, the call centre lines would be made available to all and sundry.
The aspirant stated that the call centre would reduce the current pressure on him as more people try to reach him daily, advising that, anybody who cannot get in touch with him through his personal phone should call the centre in Accra.
“I don’t want the situation whereby people will feel neglected just because they were unable to connect with me,” he said.
Mr. Manly-Spain said he has decided to contest for the Greater Accra Regional Chairman position of the party mainly to solve the myriad of problems that have bedeviled the party, as well as give power to the grassroots of the party.
He told the GNA that he was vying for the position to bring joy to the disappointed members of the party at the grassroots who worked tirelessly to retain the party in power.
Mr. Manly-Spain said if given the nod as Chairman, he would be a team-player, support the party’s parliamentary candidates during electioneering campaigns and operate an open door administration.
“We couldn’t have won the election in Greater-Accra if my friends and I had not worked assiduously to assist some of our aspirants and mobilize the grassroots towards the elections,” GNA
