Lighthouse Chapel declares 2014 a year of prayer

The Reverend Samuel Sawyerr, Head Pastor of the Lighthouse Chapel International, Rose of Sharon Cathedral- La, has declared 2014 the year of prayer and appealed to Christians to commit to prayer.

He said 2014 was a year Christians must increase their prayers, request for wisdom and to expect answers to prayers from the previous years rather than moving from one place to the other seeking men of God to pray for them.

He said, “It is a year for Christians to rise up and pray to deal with the natural and supernatural forces that work against us as a nation”.

Rev. Sawyerr stated in a New Year Message to usher 2014 that prayer must be a ground for the faith of Christians to grow.

He urged the congregation not to joke with their prayer life life in 2014 and also warned the congregation to be careful with their choice of words because “power lies in our tongue which has influence on our lives.”

Bishop George Adjeman, Head Pastor of Winners Chapel Ghana also declared 2014 as the year of victory for Christians.

He said Christians should not dwell on the things of the past but rather focus on the things to come. “Another year has ended but your great destiny awaits you because better glorious days are ahead of you.”

“The year 2013 is gone. Let’s rise above all negative moments and focus on better times ahead,” he. GNA
