John Mahama Fan club assures Ghanaians of brighter future

John Dramani MahamaJohn Mahama Fan Club, a wing within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Tuesday expressed optimism that Ghanaians would see remarkable improvement in their standard of living in 2014 and beyond.

It noted that the government had laid a solid foundation for the better Ghana agenda to thrive and appealed to Ghanaians to exercise patience and support the government for accelerated national development.

A Christmas statement jointly signed by Mohammed Awal, the Coordinator, and Abubakari Ridwan, General Secretary of the club, and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani, called on Ghanaians to bury their political inclinations, forge ahead in unity and support the course of development.

It emphasised that government’s initiatives and directives such as the performance review of Ministers and Appointees as well as instructions to the Attorney Generals’ Department to retrieve all monies wrongly paid to companies and individual were in good direction.

“The voluntary cutting down of salaries of the Executive by 10 % for CHPS compounds, constructions of several roads across the country, the commissioning of the Bui Dam and the first-ever Solar panel plant in Sub-Saharan Africa, in Pungu in the Upper East Region as well as the Kwame Nkrumah circle project are all pointers to massive and rapid development that awaits Ghana in the year 2014”, the statement said.

The statement said “2013 will continue to be a memorable year in the annals of our past and in the hopes of our future as a people on the continent of Africa” adding “the first time in Africa, a Supreme Court adjudicated an election petition without a single drop of blood as a signal to the rest of the world that Ghana has once again set the pace for the African Continent”.
