Naa Dr Francis Banka, a Senior Medical Officer at the Wa Government Hospital has advised the youth not to close their minds towards the private sector but rather explore and take advantage of the opportunities presented by the sector.
This, he noted would not only bring about self-employment but would also enable them contribute their quota to the development of the nation.
Dr Banka gave the advice during Bil Clinical Laboratories’ end of year get-together at Kunfabiala in the Wa Municipality.
Dr Banka who is also the Chief of Sombo in the Nadowli Kaleo District said government alone could not employ everyone and so the need for people to begin to explore opportunities in the private sector, venturing into areas they had the potential to succeed.
He commended Bil Clinical Laboratories for leading the way to the private sector and urged others to emulate Bil’s initiatives.
Dr Banka said the Upper West Region was fortunate to have a Regional Minister who was so passionate about private sector development and urged people with viable business ideas to approach him for the necessary advice and support.
Mr Anthony Basignaa, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bil Clinical Laboratories said Bil Lab established six years ago had a mission to improve on people’s health by providing comprehensive laboratory tests and results that were accurate and reliable to support diagnosis and management of infections.
He said Bil Lab also had the vision of becoming a real partner in health for their clients through quality diagnostic testing.
The Bil Laboratories CEO said the get-together was therefore meant to thank God and their partners for their support throughout the year.
It was also to afford them the opportunity to listen to concerns from their clients so that they could incorporate them into their scheme of activities in order to give them better and improved quality services in 2014. GNA
