Measurable Intelligence Network (MIN), a non-governmental organization committed to finding a lasting solution to filth in the country, has rolled out its maiden project code named “Operation Seal the Leak”
As part of the exercise, MIN holds education programmes in schools, mosques and churches with the intention of appealing to people to desist from throwing refuse onto the streets and into drains.
Mr Michael Nana-Sasu, Executive Director of the group, told the GNA in an interview that the NGO monitored the project each step of the way to ensure that garbage was not just cleared but also got people committed to join in the fight against the menace.
“It is a beauty to watch these MIN guys work with so much resolve and passion, paying attention to every single detail along the way,” he said.
He said MIN has started the project on a pilot basis in Tema Communities 16, 17 18 and 20.
Mr Nana-Sasu said MIN hoped to take on Ashaiman as his next model area when the maiden project ended successfully. GNA
