The Care Computers for Developing Countries Ghana, a non-governmental organization (NGO), has handed over a well-resourced computer laboratory connected to the internet valued 3,000 Ghana cedis to the Awutu-Winton Senior High School.
Speaking at the function Mr Jib Hagan, Director of the NGO, said the donation of the computer laboratory was to facilitate effective ICT teaching and learning at the school.
Mr Hagan said the NGO was formed in 2007 and had supplied computers and accessories to 148 Junior and Senior High Schools nationwide to promote ICT leaning.
Mr Marcus B. Hagberg, Project Manager of the Awutu-Winton SHS said, as a private institution the school was established to offer free education to disadvantaged children in the area.
He said the school has entered into small-scale businesses to generate income to support its activities.
Mr Seth Rockson Adjadotse, the Headmaster of the school, appealed to the chiefs and elders of Gomoa Akotsi and Awutu Beraku to release land at reasonable cost for expansion work in the school. GNA
