CFAO Equipment Ghana Limited on Friday presented a new Holland TT 55 four-wheel drive tractor to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture towards the 2013 farmer’s day celebration.
The tractor, worth GHC55,000, is an addition to an earlier presentation of a tiller and trailer worth GHC25,000.
During a courtesy call on the Minister of Food and Agriculture, Mr Alexis Madrange, Chief Executive Officer of CFAO Equipment, said the tractor was a demonstration of the company’s continuous support to the Ministry, in the provision of agriculture engineering services to Ghanaian farmers.
“It is to more importantly, complement our earlier donation and presentation of a five Ton Deves Tipping Trailer and Tiller”
Mr Madrange pledged the company’s continuous commitment towards future collaboration with the Ministry to better serve farmers through mechanisation solution.
Mr Clement Kofi Humado, Minister of Agriculture, in the company of his two Deputies, Dr Hannah Bissiw and Dr Ahmed Yakubo, received the tractor and thanked CFAO for the gesture.
He invited the Company to participate in the 29th Farmers Day celebration, which is scheduled for December 6, 2013, at the Sogakofe Secondary School Park in the Volta region.
The theme for the celebration is: “Reducing Post –Harvest Loses for Sustainable Food Security and Nutrition”.
