After successfully coaching and training contestants of this year’s Vodafon Icons to give of their best in the competition which saw Ryan emerging as winner, smooth silky voice singer and songwriter Akwaboah is set to premiere the music video for his buzzing single I Do Love You.
Shot and directed by Gilbert Asante, a Ghanaian motion picture director based in the US, the video is brewed with a local setting and it sees Akwaboah act and sing his heart out as he tries several means to tell his love story to Loretta French, a Germany based model featured in the video.
As to whether, Akwaboah’s sweet and charming lyrics together with his display of perfection on his grand piano pierced into the heart of Loretta French to climax the love story, the video to I Do Love You tells it more.
The video will thus be premiered at the all new and plush Z Bar on the second floor of the World Trade Centre building just behind the British Council and adjacent to the UBA building come Friday, September 20, 2013.
Akwaboah before the video would be premiered will treat patrons to the event with a soothing performance of some of his songs as well as that of his dad and granddad. Supporting him on the evening would be Richie, Kwabena Kwabena, Quame Zaggy, Jon Germain and Afriyie.

Singer and songwriter Akwaboah currently have three singles in the public domain. He is the brain behind Becca’s Daa ke Daa, Efya’s Best in Me and DSP Kofi Sarpong’s Ayeyi Nwom. He won the songwriter of the year award at the 2010 edition of the Ghana Music Award with Becca’s Daa ke Daa.
He is currently working on the videos for Nsroma which features Becca and Mesan Agye Wo. He is also working hard in the studios to release his first album next year.
