Peter Kwesi Amenyo and Mona Captan became the proud winners of the 10th annual Tigo Tema Open Gulf Championship which ended at the Tema Country Golf Course on Sunday.
Amenyo returned a gross score of 144 to win the men’s event while Mona won the ladies category with a gross score of 176.
Maxwell Osei-Bonsu whose hard work earned him a gross score of 146 took the second position, beating Samuel Asorgba and John Klah on count-back with S.K. Ayornu taking the fifth position with a gross score of 148.
Felicity Gyeabour came second in the ladies segment with a gross score of 180, a stroke ahead of Mercy Wenner and Victoria Adjei.
In the professional’s encounter, Victor Brave-Mensah came first with 277 gross, Amos Kwabla took the second position with 281 gross, while Vicent Torgah placed third with 283 gross.
The junior’s event was won by Enoch Nyarko with 81 nets while the second position was taken by Atela Dickson with 80 net.
The two-day 36-hole scratch event which attracted more than 150 golfers was sponsored by Millicom Ghana Limited. GNA
