The Coalition of Ghanaians against Electoral Fraud, the Movement for Genuine Democracy(MGD), The Progressive Youth for Change and Transparency(PYCT and The Stop tribalism in Ghana group invites all Ghanaians and Africans to a day of protest at Chatham house,London to protest the presence of Ghana’s current President John Dramani Mahama, to condemn his interference and sabotage of the judicial process in Ghana and to criticise Chatham house for allowing its machinery to be used for in a public relations exercise for a leader whose leadership of his party and the country is in serious dispute and question.
We believe Mr John Dramani Mahama must not be allowed or given any sort of recognition in the United Kingdom or anywhere in the world as long as a serious case against him and the country’s electoral commission is before the Supreme Court of Ghana. Chatham House and its machinery must not undermine the rule of law in Ghana.
A candlelight procession, with the singing of religious and patriotic songs will proceed from Trafalgar Square to Chatham house from 5pm to 7pm where a petition will be presented .
We call on all Ghanaians to join us .Bring your candles to light up democracy in a country which has seen democracy and freedom extinguished by nepotism, tribalism, thievery and one man rule.
