Nana Fanyinama III chief of Wangara Kintampo in the Brong Ahafo Region on Monday commended Ghanaians for the successful inauguration of President John Dramani Mahama at the Black Star Square on Monday in Accra.
Nana Fanyinama, who traveled over six hours to participate in the ceremony, told the Ghana News Agency that the event was beautiful, impressive and well attended. “It was simply good. People attended due to the likeness and love for the President”.
He used the occasion to advised the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), who boycotted the event that: “Ghana is moving forward and so boycotting will not solve any problem but instead roundtable forums should be used in addressing issues”.
Nana Fanyinama was among scores of traditional leaders from across the country who participated in the inauguration.
Ms Linda Tetteh, an excited supporter of the National Democratic Congress, dressed in party colours said, “President Mahama is the Joshua of our time and he is a president for all no matter your political affiliation”.
“I am happy and congratulate the President on his victory; I know he will never fail Ghanaians, especially the youth of this country,” Mr. Koomson, a security personnel said.
Others told the GNA of their happiness and gratefulness to God for making them witness the swearing in of President Mahama as the fourth President of the fourth Republic of Ghana. GNA
