The Pan African Business Forum (PABF) has congratulated the re-election of President John Mahama and President Barrack Obama for four year terms in office in their respective countries.
The forum said their outfits had observed the re-endorsement of President Jacob Zuma, President of South Africa as the leader of the African National Congress and the ruling party’s President Candidate at their next national election too.
This was contained in press statement signed by Ladislas Agbesi and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra.
The statement said all the three leaders are widely acknowledged by the global community as bastions of the progressive forces gaining dominance around the world.
It said that it is expected that all the three leaders will continue to improve upon its on-going political visions that support the African economic, political and social renaissance by attracting private sector support for effective public private partnerships.
“We hope they will remain committed to regional and global political co-operation and economic integration with a view to pursuing global peace, social justice and economic prosperity around the world” the statement said.
It called on President Obama to draw up a special agenda for American Assistance to Africa and commit to designing developmental assistance programmes through which American can propel Africa’s economic and renaissance.
The African Business Forum is a non-political organisation that support national government to uphold multi-party democracy based on free and fair elections, constitutional rule and an independent judiciary. GNA
