The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have just concluded an emergency meeting on the declaration of 2012 elections by the Electoral Commission.
The NEC had been locked up in a crises meeting in Accra since morning discussing possible ways of addressing their concerns.
Supporters of the party who had initially gathered at the party’s headquarters have now moved to the Obra Spot where it is expected that the NEC members would address them.
The African Union observed group and Coalition of Domestic Election Observers said the 2012 elections were relatively free, fair and peaceful, but the NPP has raised concerns over rigging that placed President John Dramani Mahama ahead of NPP’s Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. GNA
