Manse for Anglican Bishop of Mampong inaugurated

A GH¢65,520.00 manse built at Bonkrong for the Anglican Suffragan Bishop of Mampong has been inaugurated at a ceremony.

With facilities including four bedrooms, a big hall, washrooms, kitchen and a garage, it was funded by the Kumasi Diocesan Church.

The suffragan area consists of Asante-Mampong and the Kumawu archdeaconries.

The Right Reverend Dr Daniel Yinkah Sarfo, the Diocesan Bishop, said every support and the required conditions would be created to aid the bishop to function more effectively.

He said a four-wheel drive has been bought to enable him to carry out his job in his assigned area.

The suffragan area was the creation of the synod and the Rt. Rev Dr Cyril Kobina Ben-Smith, elected as the pioneer Bishop.

The Rt. Rev Dr Yinkah Sarfo praised members of the church and all those who contributed in diverse ways towards the completion of the project.

He encouraged them to continue to support the church’s growth.

The Rt. Rev Ben-Smith said it was his prayer that they would all hold together to expand the membership of the church and bring salvation to more people. GNA
