Life will not be the same for a 31 year old Bupe Jumaine, a tomato seller who emerged as the fourth lucky winner of Toyota Hilux Pick -up in the ongoing Airtel Yabooka promotion.
In a telephone interview soon after the draw, Jumane was over the moon and could not her hide her joy saying the turning point of his life has come.
“I have never dreamed of having a car in my life but this is the time I have been waiting, God is great”said Jumane.
The Karonga based woman became the first female to emerge as the lucky winner of the Toyota Pick-up since the promotion started last month.
Speaking during the draw, Airtel Malawi deputy managing director Maurice Newa said the promotion aims at uplifting the lives of poor people in the country.
He said as the company is giving back to its customers through the promotion, he was happy that the promotion has increased its customer’s base.
“Our aim is to make sure that we uplift the lives of people and society in which we are operating” he said.
To win in Airtel Yabooka promotion, customers use a minimum of US$ 0.08 (K20) worth of airtime to qualify for a single entry.
A total of four Toyota pick -up vehicles have already been won by various customers across the country, at the end of the promotion one lucky customer will walk away with a Toyota brand new Prado as grand prize.
