Ghana’s position in the latest rankings released by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) remained unchanged despite a one all draw game against Chile late last month in a friendly.
The latest monthly global standings released by the international body culled by GNA Sports saw the Black Stars remaining as the best 23rd team in the world.
Despite managing only a fourth place finish at the 2012 Nations Cup held in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, the Stars stayed the second best, only behind silver medalist, Cote D’Voire on the continent.
According to FIFA, Ghana amassed a point more to accumulate 820 to maintain the positions while Algeria stayed in third position with African Champions, Zambia climbing to fourth place on the continent.
Overall, 91 games were taken into consideration for the March edition of the rankings, three-quarters of which were from friendly games. GNA
