Apam citizens in London support Apam Library with 1,000 pounds

The Apam Improvement Association, made up of Apam citizens in London, has donated 1,000 pounds sterling for the construction of shelves in the Apam Community Library.

The Association has also pledged to donate computers and books to the library as soon as the construction of the shelves is completed.

Mr Kwame Boison, Public Relations Officer of the Association, said the donation was in fulfilment of a promise made to Mr Theophilus Aidoo-Mensah, Gomoa West District Chief Executive, when he visited London recently.

Mr Peter Antwi Boasiako, the District Coordinating Director who received the donation on behalf of the Assembly, thanked the donors.

He said communities in the country could only develop through efforts and contributions of their citizens and urged the citizens to support development programmes of their communities.

Ebusuapanyin Kojo Yooyo, Chairman of the Apam Town Council, appealed to the citizens to help to develop. GNA
