As part of an effort to fight worm infestation particularly among children in the Afigya-Kwabre District, a free de-worming exercise was held at Hemang near Ankaase with the beneficiaries receiving “infesen” syrup and tablets.
It was organised under the auspices of Ghaban Pharmacy Limited, a Ghanaian pharmaceutical firm with its head office in Accra.
Mr Samuel Oduro Aboagye-Attah, Sales Executive of the Company, said it was their social responsibility to the people and pledged to extend the exercise to other communities in the Ashanti Region.
He advised the people to de-worm at least every three months, especially children, to help them to grow well.
They should also adopt healthy lifestyles through regular physical exercises, taking enough rest and drinking more water.
Mr Ignatius Mwinbe-Ere Der, District Education Director, thanked the company for the gesture and invited other corporate bodies and institutions to emulate the kind gesture. GNA
